JOB SUMMARY This position is responsible for assisting on federal government affairs initiatives in a fast-paced environment. The position will work closely with the Congressional, Policy and External Affairs teams to achieve policy goals. The position will report to a Vice President, Federal Affairs.
MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Actively and consistently supports all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experienceResearch, monitor, and track Congressional and Administration activities including legislation, executive actions, hearings, and events to educate key stakeholders on relevant legislationPrepare reports on how changes to regulations or government policy may impact the organizationAssist in implementation of company-wide PAC strategy, including supporting execution of solicitation as well as budgeting and disbursement processesAssist in compliance activities related to lobbying disclosure regulations and election lawPrepare and regularly track annual budgetRepresent Charter at government, third-party, industry and political related eventsPerform other duties as requested by supervisor REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge Ability to read, write, speak and understand EnglishAbility to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and straightforward mannerAbility to handle multiple projects and tasks simultaneously while effectively meeting deadlinesAbility to think critically, demonstrate good judgement, is detail oriented, and has innovative problem-solving skillsGoal-oriented team player with desire to be part of a fun and dynamic teamDemonstrated research and writing skillsDemonstrated organizational capabilitiesSkilled in PowerPoint, Excel, WordRequired Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
Required Related Work Experience and Number of Years
2+ years experience in government affairs environment
Previous budgeting experience
