POSITION SCOPE The Graduate Development Program (GDP) is a two (2) year structured learning and development program for select new graduates who are hired into the ASR Group Engineering team. We are looking for entry-level engineers in the following disciplines: Electrical, Mechanical or Controls. GENERAL ROLES/RESPONSIBILITIES Develop multi-discipline (chemical, mechanical, controls, industrial or electrical) proficiency during the program.Review technical reports (Daily, Weekly, Monthly Energy/Water).Standardize and document operating procedures and centerlines.Participate in and lead Continuous Improvement projects.General electrical troubleshooting & equipment (starters, VFD, Soft starts & breakers).Perform Operational & Cost Studies.Perform Tasks as an Area Supervisor.Time Management: Having the ability to manage and monitor a large number of projects to completion.Critical thinking and problem solving: Using logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.Communication: The ability to effectively and clearly communicate information and ideas.Self-starter: Have a strong sense of urgency and is deadline-oriented. The ability to handle multiple projects at one time.Leadership: Strong interpersonal skills, and oral/written communication skills.Interest in pursuing a career path as a leader in a manufacturing environment.Proficient Microsoft Office skills, to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, etc.Outstanding interpersonal skills, the ability to write clearly and accurately.Prior related internship experience is a plus.ESSENTIAL EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS B.S. or M.S. in Electrical, Mechanical or Controls Engineering from an accredited college/university.0 - 2 years of professional work experience (including internships and co-ops).Validated leadership experience through extra-curricular activities, employment and/or internship experiences preferred.Strong academic record (3.0 GPA or better).LOCATION: Crockett, CAThe pay range for this position is $58,000-$96,500. The rate of pay for a successful candidate will depend on the candidate's qualifications and prior experience.
