The Epidemiology Program in the Public Health Sciences Division of Fred Hutch is conducting a genetic epidemiology study of prostate cancer risk. A student research assistant will be recruited to help with study organization, data collection, and analysis.
The research assistant will help with preparing IRB documents, conducting data analysis, and disseminating findings through presentations and manuscripts. This position is part-time (20 hours per week) for approximately three months over the summer. The position does not cover tuition.
Bachelor's degree and enrollment in an applicable graduate program required. Knowledge of genetic epidemiology, computational experience with statistical analysis software such as R, and experience working in a Linux environment are required. Ability to work independently with little direct supervision. Fred Hutchinson Cancer Center has a mandatory COVID-19 vaccine requirement, with exceptions only for approved medical or religious accommodations. The hourly pay range for this position is from $24.04 to $48.08 and pay offered will be based on experience and qualifications.??
