St. Jude is searching for a Graduate School Director of Faculty Affairs.
This role supports the faculty affairs responsibilities of the Senior Associate Dean of Academic Affairs through managing faculty and faculty processes such as appointments, teaching and mentorship evaluations, promotions, and professional development.
Responsibilities include:
Oversee the Graduate School's faculty affairs operations;
Coordinate Graduate School faculty activities, such as onboarding, offboarding, workload management, evaluations, and the faculty complaints process;
Communicate with faculty regularly to provide relevant information and updates;
Lead special events programming, such as Faculty Retreats;
Oversee timelines for faculty appointments, re-appointments, annual evaluations, and promotions;
Guide faculty members through appointments, re-appointments, evaluations, and promotions processes by communicating key dates and explaining necessary activities to be completed for each process;
Oversee the appointment, re-appointment, and evaluation of adjunct faculty;
Oversee faculty recognition activities;
Obtain and maintain faculty records including documents related to the appointment and promotion processes as well as a faculty roster documenting faculty qualifications and faculty courses taught;
Collaborate with faculty affairs leaders at St. Jude as appropriate;
Assist in evaluating faculty policies, processes, and procedures;
Remain up to date on institutional, state, and federal guidelines and requirements in order to ensure compliance;
Assist with the development and tracking of faculty involvement, such as teaching, committee memberships, student mentoring, etc;
Develop, oversee, and track faculty development activities, such as faculty mentoring, trainings, workshops, and presentations;
Manage activities related to faculty affairs for the accreditation and reaccreditation/ authorization process;
Engage in comprehensive review of faculty affairs processes to support institutional effectiveness and planning;
Advance faculty diversity, equity, and inclusion at the Graduate School through supporting the development and implementation of activities and initiatives that promote DEI;
Assisting the Senior Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and the Programmatic Assistant and Associate Deans with any additional ad hoc and special projects, as necessary;
Overseeing development and maintenance of the faculty portion of the Graduate School website and the Faculty Success System;
Managing the administration of multiple faculty committees (including, but not limited to, the Graduate Faculty Appointment and Reappointment Committee (GFARC).
Minimum Education:
Bachelor of Science

/

Bachelor of Arts

is required
Master's or PhD is preferred
Minimum Experience:
Experience with project management required.
Ability to effectively present information and resolve issues required.
Experience with database management is preferred.
Prior experience in graduate education is preferred.
Experience with accreditation is preferred.
Experience supporting DEI initiatives is preferred.
Demonstrated experience in leadership with engaging and managing teams.
Fluency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace (Gmail, Google Docs, Google Sheets, etc.), Zoom, and other similar productivity tools preferred.
Knowledge and/or familiarity with higher education regulations preferred.
Required Credentials:
Must have a valid driver's license from the employee's state of residence and be insurable by St. Jude's insurance carrier. Strong communication skills required. Must be able to work collaboratively.
Compensation
In recognition of certain U.S. state and municipal pay transparency laws, St. Jude is including a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This is an estimate offered in good faith and a specific salary offer takes into account factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the salary range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current salary range is $104,000 - $186,160 per year for the role of Graduate School Director of Faculty Affairs. Explore our exceptional benefits!
