Overview: This position will serve as a Grant Manager for the Biomedical Research Section. The Grant Manager is responsible for working collaboratively with Biomedical Research Section Staff in implementing program requirements.
The role assists with the daily operations associated with the grant application process, working with grant recipients and research center staff, advisory council meetings, and related activities. Successful candidates will be able to exercise independent judgment and possess excellent interpersonal skills, computer skills, and the ability to perform against high standards of excellence. The Grant Manager will work onsite in Tallahassee, FL. Essential Functions / Responsibilities: Serves as a grant manager and is responsible for the administration and monitoring of multiple biomedical research grants. This includes all aspects of the grant management lifecycle including application development and submission, pre-award tasks, post-award execution and monitoring, grant reconciliation and closeout.Provides technical assistance to grant awardees and points of contact.Develops deliverables and prepares agreements and amendments as required.Tracks grant budgets and submits invoices to ensure payment within compliance timelines.Maintains good working relationships and keeps in close coordination with grant awardees and points of contact.Maintains all files on the grant for execution to final closeout.Responsible for entering data into tracking logs to meet compliance requirements and accurate reporting.Responds in a timely and comprehensive manner to inquiries sent by internal or external entities regarding grants.Works on special projects and reports as needed.Assists with the continued operations and improvements.Promotes positive working relationships and facilitates ongoing communication and cooperation with both internal and external partners.Assists with preparation of reports and analyses as requested by the supervisor for use in decision making or reporting to Executive Leadership.Perform other duties as assigned.Qualifications: A Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university; or 4 years of administrative experience in a related field.Three years of experience providing quality customer service.Three years of communicating with internal and external partners using a variety of tools and methods (verbal, written, presentation, etc.).Three years of experience administering and managing grants or contracts.
