Grants Accountant Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Grants Accountant to join our team. The Grants Accountant will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of grants received by the organization and ensuring compliance with grant regulations and guidelines.
Key Responsibilities Manage and monitor grant budgets, including preparation and submission of grant requestsEnsure compliance with grant regulations and guidelines by maintaining accurate records and tracking expensesPrepare and submit grant reports, including financial statements and other required documentationAssist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial plansPerform account reconciliations and analysisPrepare audit schedules and assist with audit preparationAssist with project prioritization and ensure grant funds are allocated appropriatelyAssist with accounts payable and accounts receivableAssist with general ledger maintenanceQualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance3+ years of experience in grant management and reportingExperience with Abila, MIP Sage Fund Accounting, or similar accounting softwareStrong financial analysis and budgeting skillsExcellent attention to detail and ability to reconcile dataExperience with federal grant regulations, including HUD and other state grant programsAbility to prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneouslyExcellent written and verbal communication skillsBenefits Applicants must be authorized to work in the U.S.
