GE Vernova Grid Automation Regional Director - West Remote, OregonThe Grid Automation Regional Director – West is accountable for the commercial and financial performance of the region, including growth in orders, sales, profit, and market share. The Grid Automation (GA) Regional Director's responsibilities cover all customer interactions and activities in the region from inquiry-to-order to order-to-remittance. The scope includes driving sales, business development, new product/system/solution qualification, and customer satisfaction.
In close coordination with Grid Automation Region Operations team, she/he manages the business and the team of the region within the frame of strategy, annual Op Plan, and policies defined at Grid Automation level. She/he co-leads the actions for growth with Grid Automation Region and drives actions to meet Orders, Sales, and CM monthly, quarterly, and yearly targets, in full compliance with EHS and GE Vernova Leadership Principles and Behaviors.
Roles and Responsibilities Create and deploy sales strategy to meet customer needs ahead of the competition. Drive business development across the GA portfolio for higher volume while maintaining overall margin for the region as per the Op Plan.Build strong customer relationships to grow Grid Automation's thought leadership presence and market share in the region and to position GA as the trusted partner in solving key challenges related to the energy transition.Build, lead & coach a team of top talent individuals and employ creative employee engagement activities leading to a lean, fast, accountable, winning culture.Develop and deliver operational results for the Grid Automation portfolio, including financial & market share objectives, managing key business financial performance indicators aligned with the Grid Automation Region P&L.Develop dedicated GA account planning for strategic customers establishing strong C-suite level relationships promoting customer intimacy and satisfaction.Develop a clear understanding of the market and customers' needs, understand competitors' position, and develop SWOT analysis to ensure a successful deployment of the Grid Automation strategy tailored to West region needs. Promote a culture of customer value selling to enable differentiation.Identify product/solutions short-term and long-term needs to win in a competitive market and work with the GA Product Management team to evolve our portfolio accordingly.Contribute to Grid Automation strategy, particularly breakthrough actions for growth.Develop and execute Go-To-Market strategy based on the West region needs, involving both direct and third-party channels to cover the market effectively.Actively participate in building region P&L operating plan by providing input on orders and sales growth potential and growth actions plan, risks and opportunities, West region resources and budget needs.Run the business "as you own it". Be involved in decision making processes. Support, guide, and promote the team.Be the reference and role model in leadership behavior. Be fully compliant with Grid Solutions and Grid Automation policies.Identify resource gaps and drive a culture of growth, innovation, and business sustainability.Own the succession plan for critical roles in the organization and a strong talent retention plan.Comply with Quality procedures, work instructions, and processes in ebook and on site. Report or resolve any non-conformances and process in a timely manner.Drive strong integrity and compliance culture within the organization.Demonstrate EHS leadership and ensure a Zero Deviation Plan is implemented within the team.Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college.Minimum of 10 years of T&D industry experience in North America to include experience working with industrial businesses and utilities.Minimum 3 years of sales leadership or regional sales leadership experience.Desired Characteristics Preferred degree in STEM or Business.Expertise required in orders & sales management, P&L management, customer relationships.Sales development experience in the substation automation and/or relays domain expertise.Strong business acumen, leadership, discipline in managing the day-to-day business, team management and development.Ability to work in international and matrix organizations.The ideal candidate will have familiarity with the Energy Transition including, Renewables, Microgrids, etc.The salary range for this position is $151,300.00-$201,700.00 USD Annual. The specific salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set.
