Waterstone Resort & Marina, a Curio Collection by Hilton property, managed by Schulte Hospitality Group is seeking a dynamic, service-oriented Line Cook - Grill &/or Saut to join our team!
Our resort is on the Boca Inlet overlooking the Boca Bay.
Our Modern Japanese restaurant, Kasumi is settled within our Heart of Hospitality, the Heart of our Resort.
JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Food Preparation: Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines Station Management: Maintain and manage assigned kitchen station, ensuring cleanliness, organization, and readiness for service Ingredient Handling: Ensure freshness and quality of ingredients by properly storing, handling, and rotating stock.
Consistency: Execute dishes with precision, ensuring consistency in taste, portioning, and presentation.
Collaboration: Work closely with the kitchen team and head chef to ensure efficient and smooth kitchen operations.
Sanitation: Adhere to health and safety regulations, maintaining a clean and sanitary work environment.
Equipment Maintenance: Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely and efficiently.
Plating: Assist with plating dishes according to restaurant standards, ensuring each plate is visually appealing.
Inventory Management: Assist with inventory checks and inform management of low stock or equipment needs Perform various other duties as assigned by chef, sous chef, or managers.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE Minimum of High School education preferred Strong background and understanding of meat temperatures Previous experience in a similar role required minimum 4 years KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Attention to Detail: High attention to detail to ensure quality and consistency Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, and work in a fast-paced environment for extended periods Teamwork: Excellent teamwork and communication skills Professionalism: Professional appearance and demeanor, with a commitment to maintaining the restaurant's high standards Flexibility: Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays Certification: Food handler certification is preferred Our Company: Schulte Companies, a leading third-party management company with deep, multi-generational experience in all facets of the hospitality industry.
