Groomer Operator Ii - Experienced

Position Title: Groomer Operator 2 (Experienced)

Reports To: Grooming & Snow Surfaces Manager

Employment Status: Seasonal; Full-time

Job Summary:

In the grooming department, you will be part of the team operating snow cats at night safely and efficiently.
We strive for a top quality and safe snow surface that exceeds guest expectations.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Safe operation of a Pisten Bully 400 snowcat, including.
Daily checkout and inspection of machines.
Correct start-up and shutdown procedures.
Advanced Blade and Tiller operation.
Have the necessary skills needed to maintain ski runs daily, including.
Track Packing.
Trail building and repair.
Maintain access routes on the mountain and in the base area.
Build and maintain ski lift load and unload ramps.
Understand grooming theory and techniques.
Changing snow and weather conditions.
Grooming patterns.
Time management.
Fill out daily grooming log.
Communicate equipment needs and status with Vehicle Maintenance Department.
Early season snowmaking

Job Qualifications: Highschool diploma or equivalent.
Excellent communication skills.
Previous grooming experience required (3 - 5+ years) Heavy Equipment operating experience.
Strong mechanical knowledge of equipment.
Snowmaking experience preferred Other Requirements: Valid driver's license Must be available and willing to work night shifts.
We work all holidays and weekends, 40 hours per week.
Overtime may be required.
Ski or Snowboard alpine terrain.
