About the Role: This position works closely with the Manager of Field Operations in managing the daily field operations at Oracle Park. In addition to: being responsible for identifying and addressing field maintenance and equipment problems along with managing Day of Game Staff.
Duration: 2024 Baseball Season (Approximately March-October)
Status: Part-Time Seasonal/Hourly
You're Excited About This Opportunity Because… ·You will manage day-to-day for Event Staff including, but not limited to assisting with scheduling input, mentoring, training, and providing input of performance management of incumbents in these roles.
·You will work closely with and assist Manager of Field Operations on all field and equipment maintenance activities.
·You will assign jobs to Event Staff and see to the completion of given jobs.
·You will maintain and ensure that the playing field is up to the professional level of the San Francisco Giants and MLB standards.
·You will provide field preparation and recovery for non-baseball related events, including but not limited to, concerts, corporate events, fantasy batting practices, run the bases, graduations, and miscellaneous sporting events.
·You will identify and report all field and equipment maintenance problems including fertilizers, irrigation, infield surfaces, clay areas (pitching mounds and plates), water management, tarping techniques and equipment operations.
·You have the ability to work special events independently and make decisions that affect field conditions (i.e. ability to oversee events on the field and provide independent guidance on what is permitted in the moment, etc.).
·You will coordinate and work with various departments in the Giants organization as directed by the Manager Field Operations.
· All other duties as assigned by the Director and Manager of Field Operations.
