Description
DUTIES - Ensures Direct Care Staff and Facility Managers:
Supervision, protection, and care of children individually and in groups at all times including but not limited to.
Providing consistency in childcare management.
Establishing a respectful relationship with persons served to help them gain skills & confidence.
Supervising to ensure physical and emotion safety and protection from retraumatization.
Conducting self and communicating in a professional and respectful manner that provides a therapeutic role model to all agency staff, residents and outside agencies.
Assistance to each child in working with a group and in handling individual problems including but not limited to.
Supporting children as it relates to trauma, loss, grief and their feelings regarding their families and the behavioral manifestations of those feelings.
Supporting children in identification of trauma behaviors, triggers, vulnerabilities, underlying unmet needs, drivers and reinforcers.
Supporting children to learn, practice, coach and implement their individual treatment plans.

Administration of discipline and setting of limits for behavior with clients and fellow co-workers.
Adheres to legal and ethical best practice standards for treatment as established under the employee's professional and licensing/certification guidelines.
Protect the personal rights and foster youth rights of children in care.
Being culturally competent and inclusive of all races, religions, sexual orientations etc.

Notation of the child's progress; identification of the possible need for additional professional services; and communication of such findings to professional staff.
Completes all documentation in a timely manner required to meet professional standards and verify client services to outside auditors or funders.
Working harmoniously and cooperatively with agency co-workers to communicate all relevant information needed for effective collaboration and decision-making on behalf of each client.

Assistance with the provision of or access to core services and supports, daily activities, and emotional and social supports, as necessary including but not limited to: Medical Needs Physical Needs Emotional and Social Needs Educational/Recreational Needs Life Skills and Self-Sufficiency 6.
Management of the daily living routine including but not limited to: Supervision of residents Cofacilitation of mental health/SUDs groups Facilitation of meals 7.
Working to ensure all federal, state and county regulations and Ettie Lee policies and procedures are maintained including but not limited to: Home Cleanliness, Maintenance and Sanitation standards Home Pass and Community Pass Standards Client confidentiality and HIPAA standards.
Reporting Standards including Special Incidents, Grievances and Child Abuse Reporting.
Job requires evenings, weekend and holiday hours and occasional work at nights and in different locations and overtime work on a regular basis.
Qualifications
QUALIFICATIONS:
The administrator shall meet one of the following qualifications if hired after STRTP conversion:
(1) Have a master's degree in a behavioral science from an accredited college or university, plus two years of employment as a social worker, as defined in section 80001 (s)(4), in an agency serving children or in a residential congregate care program for children.
(2) Have a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, plus at least three years administrative experience or supervisory experience over social work, direct care and/or support staff providing direct services to children in an agency or in a community care facility with a licensed capacity of seven or more.
(3) Have completed at least two years at an accredited college or university, plus at least five years administrative experience or supervisory experience over social work, direct care and/or support staff providing direct services to children in an agency or in a community care facility with a licensed capacity of seven or more.
(4) Be a qualified and certified group home administrator prior to January 1, 2017.
Master's degree in a behavioral science from an accredited college or university, plus a minimum of one year of employment as a social worker, in an agency serving children or in a group residential program for children OR; a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university, plus at least one year of administrative experience or supervisory experience over social work, child care, and/or support staff providing direct services to children in an agency or in a community care facility with a licensed capacity of seven or more OR; completed at least two years at an accredited college or university, plus at least two year administrative experience or supervisory experience over social work, child care, and/or support staff providing direct services to children in an agency or in a community care facility with a licensed capacity of seven or more OR; completed high school, or equivalent, plus at least three years administrative experience or supervisory experience over social work, child care, and/or support staff providing direct services to children in an agency or in a community care facility with a licensed capacity of seven or more.
All other qualifications need to be waived or have exemption from Community Care Licensing or County Agency as applicable.
