The Group Strategy Director provides important strategic leadership and guidance. As the most senior Strategy representative, the group strategy director is responsible for the overall quality of Strategy work on all projects and accounts in the business unit. Group Strategy directors are also expected to perform strategy functions on more complicated and challenging projects. The strategy director must gain an intimate understanding of the client, their competitors and key industry trends. They must also effectively communicate their findings to creative and technical members of their teams. Their most important contribution is insights – about the client's business, their competitors, and their customers. This multi-disciplinary position requires working knowledge of business analysis, qualitative consumer research, web analytics and information architecture. Candidates must demonstrate in-depth knowledge and experience in at least two of these disciplines and good working knowledge in the balance.You will:Ensure overall quality of Strategy work on all projects and accounts in all disciplines.Collaborate with the program director and the managing director to ensure that: the business unit has a suitable number of strategists and analysts with appropriate skills, the accounts understand the role of Strategy staff and exploit their skills appropriately and strategy staff are engaged in the right work at the right timeProvide support with special projects and initiatives within the Strategy groupProvide guidance and insight about Strategy practices to colleagues in departments and business unitsEnsure through collaboration with team members and other Strategy Directors that core processes and deliverables are effective in delivering strategic guidance.Work with our clients to identify business problems and challengesBecome an authority on the client's business sectorDefine and document requirements through business analysis, qualitative consumer research, and web analyticsRecommend, plan, coordinate and/or execute pertinent research, analysis activities:Sector, industry and competitive analysesCompetitive benchmarking studiesQualitative, consumer research (ie. usability testing, focus groups, field study)Requirements gathering sessions and stakeholder interviewsMulti-Year digital roadmapsPOV's and thought leadership piecesTeam management and oversight on all strategic and UX workNew business pitchesCreative BriefsOrganic growth projectsSynthesize and communicate the results of research to clients and project teamsProvide insight and perspective on the client's strategic directionCollaborate with the team on overall strategy developmentDefine measurement strategies to support ongoing strategy development and site or program optimizationDemonstrate the value of integrating Strategy services and activities into all client engagementsProvide thought leadership to colleagues and projects in a range of subjects that may includeRequirements gatheringConsumer research and insightSite measurementMarketing and strategic planningYou have:10+ years in digital user experience strategy within a digital agency or pure play user experience company10+ Years Experience in Campaign / Comms PlanningLeadership experience with larger teams10+ Years Experience working directly with clientsFacilitation ExpertiseExperience designing Personas, Customer JourneysHas experience driving and winning new business pitchesUnderstands content strategy, marketing and distributionUnderstands social ecosystem and can design for itUnderstands how to grow current clients organicallyPassion for digital and up to date on technology and trendsExperience in developing proposals and presentations for clientsDemonstrated ability to communicate complex subject matter, either verbally or in written formDemonstrated ability in the marketing research and sciences areas, to establish and analyze complex research studiesTeamwork and collaboration-orientedDetail and results orientedFlexible and able to multi-taskCommitment to learningWhat We OfferGlobal maternity and parental leaveCompetitive benefits packagesVacation, compassionate leave, wellness days, and flex daysAccess to online services for families and new parentsExtensive winter holiday office closuresSummer Fridays (off at 3:00 PM local time every Friday)Diversity and Inclusion Board with 12 affinity groupsEnterprise-wide employee discountsThe Talent Team at Critical Mass is focused on ensuring we provide the best training,?mentorship, and employee experience possible!?
