Job Summary: At K Charles & CO Salons and Salon Syzygy you are the first and last point of contact for every guest's visit.
You are the "concierge" of K Charles & CO Salons and Salon Syzygy.
You are to exceed each guest's expectations - their experience begins when they make that first phone call or walk in the door.
Your ability to welcome with sincerity, to assure timely service, and provide personal attention to each guest's needs is critical.
A smile on your face and in your voice and eye-contact is a must! You are responsible for efficiently selling products, hours, up selling service, and closing retail sales.
You are the front line for generating lucrative gift certificate sales and accurately reserving dates and times for services.
Your knowledge and ability to assist guests with appropriate information regarding Aveda products will support an overall positive guest experience.
Compensation: Associate: Hourly Pay: $12-$13 Annual Raises may be awarded based upon performance and company profitability.
Potential for retail sales bonus Part Time (25-30 hours per week) and Full Time (37-40 hours per week) positions available.
Overtime may be necessary, depending upon the needs of the company and/or to fill in for under-staffing.

Expectations: High School or equivalent education Retail Sales / Service, Call Center, and/or Customer Service experience a plus Excellent references and background check Basic computer skills (will train on Millennium software) and phone skills Knowledge of customer service etiquette (will train in Aveda protocols) Work Mon- Sat, varied shifts.
Walk and/or stand most of the workday Perform light cleaning duties such as dusting shelves and arranging product Stock shelves as needed Ability to lift/move 20 to 30 pounds of product Ability to perform phone/computer tasks from seated position for most of an 8-hour day when assigned Excellent customer service skills and friendly, personable nature Consistent positive attitude toward guests, as well as team members Willingness to accept constructive criticism and guidance as a gift Dependability and reliability Ability to multi-task and work well with minimum supervision Maintain a patient, cheerful demeanor at all times High energy motivated to provide quality service and promote product sales Love of retail sales and desire to excel in this skill Duties: Greet guest, coordinate services and accept payment at completion Complete on-site appointment scheduling (reservations) Possess in-depth knowledge of Aveda products in order to educate, inform, and retail product (training is provided) Constant awareness of guest/service provider interaction Open/close Salon/Institute according to shift assigned Use of proper verbiage at all times Deal with front desk, retail sales, and scheduling stress Convert client needs into appointment reservations or sale of product Confirm upcoming appointments and reschedule when necessary Awareness of team-member time management challenges Coordinate services according to company policy Troubleshoot and problem-solve scheduling challenges Provide accurate directions to all locations
