SCOPE:

As a Guidewire Business Analyst, you will play a critical role in shaping and optimizing the Claim Center environment for our property and casualty insurance company. Your scope encompasses end-to-end analysis and documentation of business processes, ensuring that the Guidewire Claim Center solution meets both current and future business needs. You will engage with a diverse range of stakeholders—including business users, IT Teams, and project managers—to gather and translate business requirements into actionable solutions. By leading the formation and maintenance of comprehensive process documentation, designing and validating solutions, and supporting testing and quality assurance efforts, you will ensure that the Claim Center system enhances operational efficiency and aligns with strategic objectives. Your role will also involve continuous improvement initiatives, where you will monitor system performance, recommend enhancements, and leverage data analysis tools to drive informed decision-making. This position offers a

remote

work arrangement, allowing the ideal candidate to work from their preferred location.

DUTIES

:

Collaborate with business stakeholders, including claims adjusters, managers, and IT teams, to understand business needs and gather requirements related to the Guidewire Claim Center.
Conduct in-depth analysis of current business processes, workflows, and systems to identify inefficiencies, redundancies, and opportunities for optimization.
Develop detailed functional and non-functional requirements documents, ensuring they accurately reflect the needs of the business and are aligned with organizational goals.
Work with stakeholders to prioritize requirements based on business impact, feasibility, and alignment with strategic objectives.
Lead the creation of detailed workflow diagrams, process maps, and use cases that clearly define current and future state processes within the Guidewire Claim Center.
Maintain up-to-date process documentation, including version control and distribution to relevant stakeholders. Ensure that all changes to processes are reflected in the documentation.
Ensure that all documentation is written in a clear and concise manner, making it accessible to both technical and non-technical audiences, and is easily understandable by future users or teams.
Collaborate with IT teams to design solutions that meet business requirements within the Guidewire Claim Center. This includes configuring the system, customizing workflows, and integrating with other systems as necessary.
Perform gap analysis to identify discrepancies between current system capabilities and business requirements, recommending solutions to bridge these gaps.
Work closely with IT and QA teams to validate that solutions align with documented requirements and perform as expected in real-world scenarios. Participate in the review and validation of test plans and results.
Assist the QA team in developing comprehensive test cases based on detailed requirements, ensuring all scenarios are covered.
Coordinate and participate in UAT sessions, working with end-users to validate that the system meets their needs and functions as expected.
Collaborate with development teams to identify, document, and prioritize defects or issues discovered during testing, and ensure timely resolution.
Act as the primary point of contact between business users and IT teams, facilitating effective communication and understanding between both parties.
Organize and lead workshops, meetings, and presentations to discuss findings, propose solutions, and update stakeholders on project progress.
Regularly report on the status of initiatives, including risks, issues, and changes, ensuring stakeholders are informed and aligned with project timelines and deliverables.
Continuously monitor the performance of implemented solutions within the Guidewire Claim Center to identify areas for further improvement.
Proactively recommend and implement enhancements to business processes and system configurations to increase operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve user satisfaction.
Gather and analyze feedback from users and stakeholder's post-implementation to identify additional improvements or adjustments needed to meet business goals.
Utilize data analysis tools, such as Tableau or Power BI, to create reports and dashboards that provide insights into the performance of the Guidewire Claim Center and related processes.
Leverage data analysis to support decision-making, identify trends, and provide recommendations for system enhancements or process improvements.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of data used in analysis, and work with IT teams to address any data quality issues.

EDUCATION:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, business administration, information technology, or related field.
Relevant certifications (e.g., CBAP, PMP) are a plus
TECHNICAL SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

Minimum of 5-7 years of experience as a Business Analyst, with at least 3 years focused on Guidewire Claim Center.
Knowledge of Tabelau, Power Bi is preferred.
Strong background in data analysis, process documentation, and improvement, with demonstrated experience in creating detailed process documentation
In-depth knowledge of the Guidewire Claim Center, including its modules, configuration, and functionality.
Proficiency in using business analysis tools and methodologies (e.g., BPMN, UML).
Experience with process mapping tools (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart) and documentation management systems.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and make data-driven decisions.
Ability to analyze complex business processes and systems to identify inefficiencies and recommend solutions.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience in facilitating workshops, meetings, and presentations.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Self-motivated with a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
Experience in the insurance industry, specifically in claims processing and management.
Familiarity with Agile and Scrum methodologies.
