Position: Guidewire Policy center QA Lead Location: Columbus, OH/Chicago, IL/Indiana/Michigan Job Type: Contract Responsibilities: Managing testing and related processes for Guidewire Policy Center development projects and ongoing enhancements Defining the post-production QA testing strategy for new product releases and enhancement work Developing an integrated end-to-end functional test plan, including manual and automated test cases Working closely with business analysts and developers to identify, script, and execute functional test cases Developing a configuration, regression, system and integration test plan and related test cases Developing a user acceptance test plan to ensure adequate coverage of end user business requirements Executing test plans for the entire Policy Center life cycle from FNOL to financial transactions Testing of internal back-end legacy system interfaces and external medical, legal and financial reporting interfaces Auditing unit test results of developers Participation in estimation sessions on selected stories to be developed during sprints Tracking issues identified in testing and reporting defects to developers and product engineers Understanding vendor release changes and testing requirements to satisfy those releases and communicating to the business Developing QA key measures and dashboards Qualifications: Degree in Computer Information Systems or an A.A.
Degree in Computer Information Systems 6-10 Years of experience in Information Technology with emphasis on Quality Assurance and Testing Experience with full cycle enterprise software/package implementations Proficient in requirements traceability matrices, manual testing and test automation tools (i.e.
Rational, Client) Expertise in software testing of the Insurance domain vertical and implementing quality processes and procedures Experience testing web applications developed on JAVA, J2EE and .Net Technologies Experience in testing web services Experience in automated testing methods, procedures and/or tools Experience in testing database SQL Server applications Experience with Scrum or other Agile PM methodologies Proven expertise in planning and executing functional testing, regression testing and integration testing Extensive experience in writing test plans, test cases, defect reports and developing test scripts, traceability matrices Strong oral and written communications skills Ampcus is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
