Job Responsibilities:
Apply your underwriting expertise to review, evaluate, and price crop insurance policies, maintaining adherence to our stringent company and regulatory standards.
Manage the policy lifecycle, ensuring accurate processing of applications and reports, timely issuance of status updates, and continuity of coverage to avoid penalties.
Support the claims and compliance departments by providing necessary processing assistance and completing transactions effectively within your scope of responsibility.
Utilize and contribute to the accuracy of the NCIS Error Report by addressing and resolving discrepancies.
Serve as a knowledgeable resource for stakeholders, providing information and resolving queries regarding crop hail policies.
Encourage and uphold a collaborative team environment, actively participating in training and supporting team members.
Qualifications:
Required:
High School Diploma or GED.
At least 2 years of relevant experience.
Demonstrable ability to perform data entry swiftly and accurately.
Strong analytical skills with a proficiency in managing basic risk exposures.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, capable of maintaining professional relationships and conveying information effectively.
Preferred:
Associate's Degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Previous experience in an underwriting role, preferably within the insurance industry.
Familiarity with crop insurance and its regulatory environment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and industry-specific software such as Easy Mapping and Easy Hail.
