The Opportunity Williams International has an exciting opportunity for a Special Process Technician to join our team. The Technician will work within a team environment and be responsible for the operation of miscellaneous processes supporting the production team. Additionally, the Technician will also be responsible for ensuring the continuous flow of materials and parts through the assigned cell.
The Special Process Technician will also:
Set-up, operates, and monitors Tube Thread Machines. Deburr, polish tubes, cleans and identifies parts. Uses a variety of hand tools, shears, grinders, drills, saws, tube bending and flaring equipment, pipe threading, and other items to be used in assembly. Manufacture and/ or tests parts according to engineering and customer standards and specifications. Maintain accurate and reliable documentation. Perform inspection and/or pressure testing related activities to ensure that parts are machined in accordance with manufacturing standards and blueprint specifications. Other duties as assigned. Qualifications High School or GED required. 1-2 years of experience with pressure testing, deburring, polishing required. Experience applying braze alloy is a plus. Experience in lathe and mill machining is a plus. Effective interaction with team members, customers and all levels of management Ability to read, understand, and correctly interpret basic blueprint drawings. Physical lifting requirements include; ability to lift 50 pounds (4 inches to 25 inches), capable of pushing or pulling a weight of 60 pounds, a grip strength of at least 50 pounds, and be able to reach above the shoulder (65 inches). US. Citizenship status required. Position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Government Security Clearance, if needed. Candidates selected may be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
