SQL DBA Woodbury, MN Overview We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior SQL DBA to manage our company's database systems.
The Senior SQL DBA will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting complex SQL databases.

Primary Responsibilities Design, implement and maintain complex SQL databases.
Ensuring that our company's databases are designed in a way that meets the needs of the business, while also being scalable and efficient.
Developing and maintaining backup and recovery procedures to ensure that our company's data is protected and can be recovered in the event of a disaster.
Monitoring database performance and implementing solutions to optimize database performance.
Be familiar with emerging technologies and best practices.
Identifying and resolving database issues, and providing solutions to complex database problems.
Designing and implementing database security procedures to ensure that our company's data is protected from unauthorized access.
Implementing and maintaining database replication, mirroring, and log shipping to ensure that our company's data is available and up-to-date.
Creating and maintaining documentation that describes our company's databases, including data models, database design diagrams, and database maintenance plans.
Develop and deploy database-related projects, including testing and deployment.
Collaborate with other teams to develop database solutions that meet business requirements.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior DBAs, and ensuring that they have the knowledge and skills they need to be successful in their roles.
Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
Minimum of five years of experience in SQL database administration, including experience with database design, implementation, and maintenance.
Strong knowledge of SQL Server database architecture, design, and maintenance, and be familiar with the latest tools and technologies in the field.
Strong knowledge of clustered SQL technologies, such as SQL Server Failover Clustering or AlwaysOn Availability Groups, and be able to design, implement, and maintain highly available SQL database solutions.
Familiar with Storage Area Network (SAN) technology, and be able to work with storage administrators to design and implement SQL database solutions that leverage SAN storage.
Experience in database performance tuning, query optimization, and troubleshooting, and be familiar with best practices for optimizing database performance.
Good understanding of database security best practices, and be able to implement and maintain database security procedures that protect our company's data from unauthorized access.
Experience with database replication, mirroring, and log shipping, and be able to implement and maintain these technologies to ensure that our company's data is available and up-to-date.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, and be able to identify and resolve complex database issues.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills, and be able to work effectively with other members of the IT team.
