About the role: We are looking for value-aligned individuals to lead small teams and perform skilled services related to home maintenance and repairs. Working as a handyman for Surv will require good communication skills as you coordinate with office staff to schedule jobs and complete estimates for various projects requested by our clients. You must have the flexibility to work independently and with other team members for certain projects.  Core Responsibilities: Perform walk-through assessments and prepare cost estimatesMentorship to other workers on and off the field who are less skilled Provide feedback to management on improvements to operationsPerform basic repairs (e.g., wall damage, broken windows)Complete general maintenance workMove heavy furniture, appliances, and equipmentClean windows, gutters, pavement, and other exterior surfacesPaint surfaces and apply stain as neededFollow workplace health and safety rulesLoad and unload tools and equipment from work vehiclesHandle complaints professionallyAccurately log billable hours using a time tracking appLog and report jobsite expenses dailyPreferred Skills and Qualifications: 2+ years of experience as a handymanValid driver's license, clean driving record, and reliable transportationBasic plumbing, electrical, and HVAC knowledgeBasic carpentry, including finding studs, building bookshelves, and installing cabinetsComfortable using hand tools and power toolsAble to perform basic mathematical calculations and convert measurementsAble to sit, stand, kneel, lift, and climb laddersStrong organizational, multi-tasking, and problem-solving skillsAttention to detail, positive attitude, and strong work ethicCan reliably work alone and as part of a teamAble to communicate well (multiple languages are a plus)Able to follow written and verbal instructionsFriendly with good interpersonal skillsExperience using scheduling apps or routing apps preferred (training can be provided)Working Hours  Part time, year roundFlexible Monday-SaturdayMaintain 20-hours (min.) availability Compensation $25-35/hourTravel time paidMileage reimbursementsTool bonuses ($5-80)This position will require a background check upon hire.
