Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Hardware Integrator/Test Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in building, configuring, and testing servers and IT components, with Department of Defense (DoD) experience preferred. This role involves hands-on assembly, integration, and troubleshooting of hardware systems to ensure they meet rigorous performance and quality standards. This is a 3 month contract to hire.
\n Responsibilities:Hardware Integration:Assemble, integrate, and configure servers, IT hardware, and peripherals based on project specifications.Install operating systems, drivers, and firmware updates on server and IT systems.Perform hardware and software compatibility checks to ensure seamless system functionality.Testing & Troubleshooting:Conduct functional, performance, and stress testing on integrated hardware systems.Identify and resolve issues related to hardware, software, and network configurations.Document and communicate test results, including failures, resolutions, and improvements.Documentation & Compliance:Maintain accurate documentation for hardware builds, configurations, and testing procedures.Ensure systems adhere to DoD standards, cybersecurity protocols, and other applicable regulations (e.g., NIST, RMF).Support quality assurance processes and participate in audits as needed.Collaboration & Process Improvement:Work closely with engineering, software, and project management teams to define system requirements and address hardware-related challenges.Provide input for improving assembly, testing, and troubleshooting processes.Assist in developing standard operating procedures (SOPs) for hardware integration and testing.Logistics & Inventory Management:Manage and track inventory of IT hardware components and tools.Coordinate with procurement and vendors to ensure timely availability of components and replacement parts.
