About the Role The Company is seeking a Senior Director, Head of Business Development and Licensing with a focus on RNAi.
The successful candidate will be responsible for strategic business development, including the identification and negotiation of partnerships, alliances, and licensing agreements.
This role requires a proven track record in business development within the life sciences industry, experience in assessing opportunities, and a strong understanding of the competitive landscape.
The Senior Director will work closely with the Executive Leadership Team to develop and deliver the business development strategy, and will be expected to have an established network of contacts with key decision-makers in pharma companies.
Key responsibilities for the Senior Director include expanding and developing dialogue with potential partners, proposing and negotiating deal structures, driving commercial positioning in external forums, and assessing commercial opportunities in therapeutic areas.
The role also involves collaboration with R&D teams, managing alliances, and developing bespoke pitch materials.
The ideal candidate should be a strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset, possess excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, and have strong financial acumen for valuation analyses.
Additionally, the role requires the ability to line manage a team of Competitive Intelligence and Business Development Analysts.
