Head of Data Science & Analytics
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role,Head of Data Science & Analytics, are to:
Partner within Plant Biotechnology Leadership Team (PBLT) and other R&D leadership to ensure delivery of pipeline data systems and analytics to enable the portfolio, align priorities to ensure appropriate cross-functional funding capabilities and develop key metrics for delivering local data strategy while ensuring linkage to the broader company data strategy
-Develop and implement a strategy to deliver local data systems (software development, data engineering, etc.) and data intelligence (statistics, data science, AI) while communicating and aligning priorities and compliance needs with key business stakeholders and Enterprise IT to enhance the R&D project portfolio.
Architect cross R&D efforts to accelerate and improve decision-making in our R&D pipeline in a way that maximizes resources and addresses highest priority needs
Act as a catalyst / coach by championing and modeling efforts to attract, upskill, and retain diverse talent and to promote a culture of data fluency across the DSI, PB, and R&D organizations.

Required Qualifications:
Advanced University degrees in Data and Life Sciences or business relevant experience
Experience integrating cross-functional data into an actionable life science business strategy
Working with modern data systems and technologies such as cloud computing, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence, etc.
Strong strategy, innovation cultivation, collaboration and visionary skills
Excellent leadership skills including leading and partnering across science, IT and business units
Strong cross-cultural sensitivity
Shapes the opinions of stakeholders and persistently uses communication, negotiation, and other influence techniques to deliver concepts in line with portfolio priorities
Establishes a wide and strong network, both internally and externally, that is grounded in trust and maintains an environment that supports open and honest two-way communication
Consistently challenges the status quo to accelerate change and create new opportunities for the business
