About the RoleAs Engineering Leader at Anon, you'll shape our engineering culture and execution while working closely with the co-founders. This role combines strategic leadership with hands-on technical work, as you help scale our team and product during a period of rapid growth.
Key ResponsibilitiesEngineering Excellence & OperationsDrive engineering velocity, reliability, and quality through rigorous KPIs and continuous improvement.
Lead technical architecture decisions and implementation alongside our Founder/CTO.
Build scalable processes for testing, deployment, and monitoring of mission-critical systems.
Establish clear documentation and communication practices across engineering.
Team & Culture BuildingRecruit, develop, and retain exceptional engineering talent in a competitive market.
Foster a culture of ownership, innovation, and technical excellence.
Create growth paths for engineers and ensure consistent high performance.
Champion our in-person, collaborative culture.
Strategic LeadershipPartner with founders on product strategy and technical vision.
Make key decisions on tech stack and tools that shape our engineering trajectory.
Drive cross-functional collaboration with product, design, and customers.
Balance short-term execution with long-term technical strategy.
What We're Looking ForStartup leadership experience as a technical co-founder, founding engineer, or early engineering leader.
Strong technical background with full-stack expertise.
Track record of building and scaling engineering teams >5-10 people.
Product-minded approach balancing technical decisions with business needs.
Exceptional communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
Experience with authentication systems or API integrations is a plus.
Experience scaling developer platforms and managing high-reliability systems.
