We are looking for an experienced, talented, and driven Head of Engineering to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to play a pivotal role in shaping the future of sustainable transportation and help us build a world-class engineering organization.
Key Responsibilities: Provide technical leadership and strategic direction for our global engineering team, ensuring alignment with company objectives.Collaborate closely with the founders and product team to define, plan, and execute product development roadmaps.Foster a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and innovation within the engineering team.Manage and mentor a team of remote engineers, promoting collaboration, professional growth, and work-life balance.Drive engineering best practices, including iterative improvement of features and processes, code quality, testing, and performance optimization.Be hands-on with the codebase, performing code reviews and contributing to the development of key features and architectural improvements.Partner with the founders to recruit, retain, and develop top engineering talent.Communicate effectively with stakeholders across the organization, providing regular updates on project progress and technical direction.Qualifications: 10 years of software engineering experience, with a proven track record of building and leading high-performing engineering teams.Strong technical expertise in web application development, preferably with experience in our technology stack (Ruby, Rails, Typescript, React, Google Cloud).Experience managing remote, globally distributed teams.Demonstrated ability to balance technical excellence with pragmatic decision-making.Strong understanding of Agile development methodologies and experience implementing them in engineering teams.Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build strong relationships across diverse teams.Passion for sustainable transportation and commitment to our mission of transforming urban mobility.Why join Ridepanda?
