About Pacific FusionPacific Fusion was founded in 2023 with the mission to power the world with abundant, affordable, clean energy. About the RoleJob Overview:As Head of Government Programs, you will own relationships with federal and local governments to ensure that Pacific Fusion is awarded government funding to support the build of our fusion demonstration system. You will work closely with influential government leaders to build the requirements for funding fusion projects and ensure receipt of funds.
Responsibilities:Partner with government organizations such as the Department of Energy, Office of Science, National Nuclear Security Administration, and Department of Defense to build funding programs for fusion.Assist the government in performing technical diligence and oversight in developing national fusion programs.Identify federal initiatives and organizations that are building fusion programs.Provide credible guidance to government leaders to help develop policies and regulations for fusion funding programs.Develop a network of lobbyists and consultants to navigate the political landscape around fusion energy.Qualifications:Expert in the fusion technology and policy landscape with a track record as a thought-leader and proponent for fusion energy.Experience influencing and designing government programs for emerging technologies.Experience securing non-dilutive government grant funding for energy projects.Well-networked at all levels of the federal government, specifically within the Department of Energy and National Nuclear Security Administration.Benefits:Industry-competitive salary.Equity plan.6% employer 401k matching.Generous paid time off (including sick leave, vacation, paid family leave).Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance.Actual base salary offered will be determined by experience, skills, and work location.
