Who we are looking for We are looking for a Managing Director – Head of Liquidity Risk Independent Review and Challenge to join the GTRM team.

Global Treasury Risk Management (GTRM), a team within State Street's Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) department, is looking for an experienced treasury risk professional.
The primary focus for the position will be the independent oversight and assessment of State Street's liquidity risk.

GTRM acts as the business-aligned risk function focused on risk oversight, support, and coordination to ensure consistent identification, measurement and management of risks in the scope of the activities of the Global Treasury (GT) department.
GT core functions include managing liquidity risk, the investment portfolio, asset-liability risk, funding and liability pricing, capital structure, and rating agency relationships.

GTRM plays a critical role in the overall success of the organization.
State Street investors and clients rely on State Street to ensure the risks of State Street are appropriately managed.

What you will be responsible for Continuously develop/enhance and implement independent review and challenge framework compliant with all relevant global regulations including Regulation YY. Lead and organize both qualitative and quantitative information in a meaningful way to provide review and challenge liquidity risk practices in the areas of: Risk appetite and limit setting; Stress testing methodologies and models (e.g., ILST, RLAP, LCR, NSFR); Scenario design; Investment portfolio monetization; Cash flow projections; Intraday risk; Collateral management; Contingency Funding Plan; Funding/liquidity forecasting; Recovery and Resolution Planning; Transfer Pricing frameworks; Liquidity data framework and reporting oversight. Lead critical projects with high-impact on company results. Have the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders, as well as to adapt to changing market events with a liquidity risk implication. Assess new products and business line expansions for potential liquidity risk impacts. Actively participate in regulatory exams and represent second line of defense in regular meetings with regulators, developing a relationship of mutual trust and confidence. Be a central point of contact to track, manage, and respond to both internal and external regulatory inquiries. Have strong writing abilities and comfort drafting and reviewing procedures and policies. Have experience in preparing presentations for executive management and regulators. Have a solid understanding of risk management techniques as well as product knowledge including: operational deposits, prime services, agency lending, FICC program, FX Derivatives, Investment Portfolio (HQLA/ non-HQLA), Fund finance, Muni Finance, Secured/unsecured borrowing etc. Qualifications, Skills and experience BA/BS degree in finance or related field.

preferred. 15+ years of relevant experience in the financial services industry, with specific experience in Treasury and Liquidity Management within a large bank. Knowledge of financial markets and the banking regulatory environment. Excellent understanding of financial instruments and the balance sheet of a global bank. Extensive experience working with US regulators, particularly in the liquidity space. Strong written, verbal communication and time management skills. Ability to multi-task, manage priorities, delegate team tasks while maintaining focus on priorities and meet deadlines in a demanding and deadline-oriented environment. Must be detail-oriented, well-organized, innovative, and a self-starter and team player with a high level of initiative. About State Street What we do. Salary Range: $170,000 - $282,500 Annual
