JOB DESCRIPTION: The Head of Project Excellence is responsible for establishing and maintaining high standards for project management practices across the organization providing guidance, frameworks, tools and support to project managers and ensuring successful project delivery across the organization.

The role is responsible to define the project management excellence framework with the objective to raise the bar of the program and project managers across the organization by providing best practices, frameworks, tooling and processes leveraging audit control to ensure the right level of quality.
It promotes a culture of continuous improvement within the project management community.

The role is responsible of providing training, mentorship and guidance to project managers to enhance their skills and knowledge and optimise the project delivery.
The role facilitates communication between project teams, stakeholders and senior management to ensure alignment and transparency.

The role leads the project management tool implementation and ensures the right features are available to manage the projects efficiently complying with the standards established.

The role collaborates with the Transformation and Commercial Strategy function to ensure the strategic initiatives are well defined with the standards and qualities expected.
Similarly, collaborates with Process Transformation team to ensure the processes are aligned and simplified to optimise the project management delivery.

Overall, the role purpose is to implement project methodology across the project managers' community and control the quality through auditing process.

Responsibilities: Define the project management excellence framework with the objective to raise the bar of the program and project managers across the organization by providing best practices, frameworks, tooling and processes. Support the project managers' community to raise the project management skill set across the organization and enabling high performance by providing frameworks, standards, material and coaching. Control the quality of the project management standards by recurrent auditing process to identify GAPs and opportunities of improvement. Improve knowledge transfer and efficiency by managing documentation repository and tooling. Ensure continuous improvement across the project managers by providing trainings, organising external events and creating the project management community. Ensure alignment with the Strategy Portfolio and Portfolio Management function to create a unique source of truth of the portfolio status for the company. Skills: Excellent understanding of project and program management methodologies. Ability to align project management practices with organizational goals and strategies. Proficiency in project management software and tools. Good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions. Strong ability to build relationships with stakeholders and work with cross-functional teams. Entrepreneurial spirit to bring innovative ideas about potential optimization and/or process improvements. Strong communication skills (verbal and written) including solid presentation skills to synthesize complex topics into actionable insights (for senior stakeholders). Solid analytical, problem solving and creative thinking skills. Ability to manoeuvre through high uncertainty and constant change. Ability to lead the responsibilities outlined in an autonomous manner. Experience: Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in project management at a global organization. Experience of managing complex, high-risk programs. Experience in PMO processes. Experience of managing and developing people in a multicultural and global organization. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business administration, project management or related. Languages: English C1 minimum, Spanish. PMP, PgMP certification is desirable. Master's degree or MBA highly preferable. Agile knowledge and certifications highly preferable.
