About the job: Unlimit is currently seeking a Head of Banking and APM Relationships for the advertised region. The main responsibilities of the Banking and APM Team include the ownership and management of Unlimit's global banking and APM network. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing new Bank and Alternative Payment Method relationships in the region, managing the end-to-end process, and maintaining existing regional partnerships. Reporting to the Group Head of Banking, this role is an individual contributor role ideal for someone with experience and an existing network in the banking and payments industry. For the right candidate, it offers the opportunity to contribute to Unlimit's regional banking partnership strategy and support our ambitious expansion goals. Key duties and responsibilities: - Establish relationships with regional banks and partners around the world, expanding Unlimit's global network infrastructure for cross-border payment solutions and Alternative Payment Methods
- Manage an end-to-end process by finding the right potential banking and payment system partners, pitch Unlimit as a client, negotiate the commercial agreements and contracts, complete account opening forms, explain our compliance processes, pass due diligence, and do anything else needed to be ready for development.
- Create new opportunities by working closely with our existing banking payment service providers to ensure we continuously improve our product (i.e. increase speed, reduce costs, add more visibility to our transactions, etc.).
- Setting the strategy for the region and ensure action-plan for developing and maintaining the payments landscape and the needs of our users
- Research, identify and explore new markets, payment rails, domestic schemes and banking providers to expand Unlimit's global footprint in line with Unlimit's expansion plans
- Complete banking partner application forms and collate necessary policies, KYC and other documentation for each application (building a strong relationship with Unlimit's Compliance & Legal Teams)
- Respond in a timely manner to the requirements of local authorities and Unlimit 3rd parties in different countries and time zones
- Identify and address legal and business issues/challenges in a timely manner and provide solutions to improve them
- Deeply understand the business, manage ad-hoc projects as needed, and provide practical input to stakeholders
Skills and experience required: - 4+ years of experience in similar capacity in the fintech/payments/banking
- A strong existing banking network is preferred
- Strong relationship management skills with "to-do" mindset
- Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance standards relevant to the payments industry
- Professional verbal and written communication skills in English
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously
