New Story School in Columbus, OHis seeking a qualified Head of School to maintain day-to-day operations at assigned locations.
They will work to establish a strong culture with an emphasis on effective instruction, positivity, safety, and meeting the needs of all NSS students.
The Head of School will also work to ensure that successful teaching and learning is occurring in all NSS classrooms at their assigned locations.
They are expected to work closely with program coordinators to ensure proper support, training, and materials are available at their disposal in order to support teachers and classroom support staff.
The Assistant Head of School should also expect to monitor the development of IEPs, Progress Reports, regular data review for classrooms, and participate in professional development for all staff.
RESPONSIBILITIES Meets regularly with the Team to discuss the progress of students, staff, and review building status, plan professional development.
Communicates a shared vision of learning school-wide that supports improvements in student achievement.
Displays professionalism and leadership to maintain the image of NSS Columbus.
Plans/implements strategies to ensure tasks are completed within required time-frames.
Oversees the training and growth of NSS staff to provide excellent instruction and experiences for all students.
Maintains and upholds ethical practices and procedures to address and ensure safety throughout the building.
Ensures all practices and procedures within the building align with ODE regulations and requirements.
Communicates regularly with , administration, staff, students and families to ensure information is delivered effectively.
Maintains healthy, working relationships with local school districts.
Facilitates committee meetings Facilitates and monitor the work of program coordinators that include:
IEP Development IEP Progress Report completion Classroom coaching Providing support to teachers as needed Data review Participates in teacher and support staff interviews with coordinators as needed.
Assists with enrollment and disenrollment procedures as necessary.
Actively participate in all other activities that fall within daily operation duties.
