About Plots Plots primary mission is to facilitate in person connections at events. Our app makes it easy for users to discover high quality local experiences and connect with other eventgoers near them.
Event hosts are given cutting edge tools to make an income off organizing events. We're constantly building new ways for people to connect and want to help more of our generation to get together in person.
We're backed by a16z, co-founded by two Gen Z builders and Tinder's founding CTO, and we've already helped event hosts make $3M+ in 2024 . Join us in building the world's first in-person social network!
Overview:
As the Head of Social, you will own our entire content creation and distribution. You will also serve as the face of the brand on social media, if need be. Must have relevant and direct experience in the two organic channels we are focusing on: TikTok Organic and YouTube Organic
Key Responsibilities:
Consistently strategize and execute creative campaigns that convert across YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and other relevant platforms.
Manage videographers and editors to consistently direct high-quality, on-brand content. This will include remotely managing and traveling.
Interface with our hosts and internal team to produce long form entrepreneurial content that drives host growth on Plots.
Work with Head of Ambassadors to product short form content to acquire user density in target cities, universities, and niche sub-communities.
Manage our existing network of university pages, onboard page managers and incentivize them
Analyze performance metrics and iterate our content strategy.
First 90 Days Day 30: Hit the ground running by diving into our content performance and creating 15-20 pieces yourself across platforms. Map out content pillars that drive growth, connect with our top hosts to capture their stories, and establish your weekly content machine with clear metrics.
Day 60: Iterate on what is working. Lock in partnerships with our top hosts and create a playbook for rapid content production.
Day 90: Refine the strategy and build a following. Work in tandem with the other Growth team members to strategically launch in new cities. By now, you'll have clear wins in platform growth, host acquisition, and user activation in target markets.
About you 3+ years track record of building strong brands on social media
Comfortable behind or in front of the camera.
Cutting edge knowledge on content distribution (social media algorithms and content that converts)
Long term commitment to our mission of helping budding entrepreneurs succeed and ultimately connecting people at events.
You are a player-coach. You have management and delegation skills with the ability to get your hands dirty.
Business oriented, but creative. You understand that the best way to express yourself is to work within a framework, but you can be creative within that results-driven environment.
Proven copywriting skills that resonate with our audience
Demonstrable understanding of Gen Z trends and behaviors and how they interact with brands in 2024.
Are passionate about documenting stories.
