Morgan Stanley Wealth Management Technology (WMT) is seeking a Head of Artificial Intelligence & Machine Learning Technology Platform. This role will define the platform strategy for AI/ML/LLM/GAI technology platform across Wealth Management and working across a broad range of partners across technology and business teams.Morgan Stanley Wealth Management's leadership in AI/ML has been a driving force in the firm's position as a Category of One in the industry. The ideal candidate must have deep expertise in ML, LLMs, MLOps, LLMOps, and integrating conversations with business functions to create the next generation of Enterprise AI platform.Responsibilities include:* Develop roadmap and strategy for AI/ML Platforms and Model lifecycle management in Wealth Management* Work closely with members of technology and business teams in the design, development, and implementation of Enterprise AI platform* Be responsible for defining and implementing the tooling framework associated with the platform* Continually advance or improve the process and technologies for model development, production deployment, monitoring & performance tracking, and risk management* Ensure data integrity, security and protection across the platform comprising of vendor and homegrown applications and data stores* Recruit, develop and mentor talent on the team known for business enablement, operational excellence, tech expertise, innovation, quality, and compliance while exemplifying Morgan Stanley's Core Values.Skills required:* Advanced knowledge of MLOps, LLMops, one or more LLM models including integration with enterprise activity and event buses.* Hands on experience on training and fine-tuning models at speed and scale* Strategic thinker and influencer with demonstrated leadership acumen and problem-solving skills* Experienced professional with 10-12 years of experience as ML developer, architect, engineer, lead data scientist/analyst for machine learning in Big Data ecosystem or any similar distributed or public cloud platform.* / Impala or any similar distributed computing technology as well as public cloud platform & systems* Strong familiarity with higher level trends in LLMs and open-source platforms* Experienced with architecting, implementing, and managing ML/AI solutions and transitioning from on-prem to public cloud (Azure, GCP, AWS)* Proficiency with Databricks, DataRobot, DataIKU, MLflow, , Scale.ai, Claude+, GPT4, Kore.ai, or similar AI/ML/ML Ops technologies* Experience developing with Spark, SQL, Python, PySpark for model development and ML Ops* Excellent written & verbal communication and stakeholder management skillExpected base pay rates for the role will be between 180,000 and 260,000 per year at the commencement of employment. However, base pay if hired will be determined on an individualized basis and is only part of the total compensation package, which, depending on the position, may also include commission earnings, incentive compensation, discretionary bonuses, other short and long-term incentive packages, and other Morgan Stanley sponsored benefit programs
