Job Title: Onsite Health & Wellness Coach (Part-Time, 24 hours/week)
Schedule: Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday (6am-2pm one week, 10am-6pm the next week)
Job Purpose: We are seeking a dedicated Onsite Health & Wellness Coach to provide comprehensive wellbeing and injury prevention services at our client's location. The ideal candidate will engage employees in positive lifestyle changes that improve health, reduce chronic disease risk, and lower healthcare costs. This role is pivotal in fostering a culture of health and safety within the workplace.
Key Responsibilities: Health Promotion & Education: Develop and implement initiatives that encourage physical activity, stress management, and other healthy behaviors.Lead group sessions such as safety talks, stretch and flex programs, and wellness seminars.Conduct biometric screenings (e.g., blood pressure, body composition) and offer coaching to help employees understand and act on their results.Promote safety awareness and injury prevention, linking employees to the right resources to enhance their health and wellbeing.Health & Wellbeing Coaching: Proactively engage employees in health coaching, using the transtheoretical model to support behavior change.Maintain high visibility on-site through daily rounds, ensuring you are accessible for coaching and consultation.Offer individual consultations, helping employees set and achieve personalized health goals.Monitor progress, provide ongoing support, and adjust strategies to ensure sustained health improvements.Injury Prevention & Safety Coaching: Conduct daily site walks to engage employees in safe work practices and injury prevention strategies.Provide coaching on body awareness and mindfulness to help employees prevent musculoskeletal injuries.Follow up with employees to reinforce safe behaviors and reduce the risk of accidents.Administrative Duties: Accurately document all coaching activities and maintain employee confidentiality.Collaborate with the client's HR, safety teams, and other stakeholders to integrate wellness initiatives into the broader workplace culture.Attend required meetings and training sessions to stay current on best practices and company protocols.Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in health sciences or a related field.Strong background in injury prevention, particularly in settings like construction, manufacturing, or transportation.Excellent time management skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to engage and motivate individuals and groups.Preferred Qualifications: 2+ years of experience in health and wellness coaching, fitness, or related fields.Familiarity with behavior change models and motivational interviewing techniques.Proficiency in Microsoft Office and experience with data entry systems like EMR/SOAP/ADIM.Experience in taking manual blood pressure.Ramp Health is an equal opportunity employer and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability status, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by federal, state or local law.
