Description This position is open to candidates located in Dallas, Houston, Austin, Phoenix, Denver, Portland, Seattle, Irvine, Los Angeles or San Francisco. This is a hybrid role; the selected colleague must be willing and able to work out of a WTW office.
As a Healthcare Financial/Actuarial Director you will be a key member of the Financial Actuarial & Analytics (FAA) Community of Expertise. You will lead clients' financial/actuarial engagements for a portfolio of clients and/or significantly contribute to complex clients across the full spectrum of employer health and group benefit programs including medical, dental, life, disability, etc. In partnership with Client Service colleagues, you will communicate FAA concepts, strategies and results that effectively drive client action and improve plan performance. You will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects alongside leaders in the industry.
Duties: Communicates and delivers complex concepts and financial/actuarial/analytic results to effectively drive client action and improve plan performance Leads medium to large clients' financial/actuarial engagements Develops and delivers the financial/actuarial strategy for a portfolio of Medium and/or large clients Drives revenue growth through client sales of additional actuarial, financial, and/or risk solutions Provides consulting quality reviews and client delivery for all types of financial/actuarial deliverables Guides team (regional and global) on deliverables based on client need; reviews models and presentations for client delivery Builds relationships internally and collaborates effectively on cross-functional teams Qualifications 10+ years' experience and demonstrated success in the delivery of complex health and welfare financial/actuarial strategies and analysis in a consulting or brokerage environment Proven ability to generate revenue Track record of success in managing and growing client relationships Deep understanding and expert knowledge in all aspects of employee benefit plan design, underwriting and funding concepts Proven ability to lead data analytic projects Interest and aptitude in keeping abreast of latest developments in health and welfare plan strategy and leading the development of new intellectual capital Ability to leverage judgment and past experiences to predict which methods will work Multiple years of experience across one or multiple client segments An executive presence with polished and well-developed written and oral communication skills Superior ability to influence and collaborate with senior management and work across all levels of an organization Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel and PowerPoint State Life and Health license required within 90 days of joining Actuarial designation and current continuing education preferred. Compensation and Benefits Base salary range and benefits information for this position are included in accordance with requirements of various state/local pay transparency legislation. Please note that salaries may vary for different individuals in the same role based on several factors, including but not limited to location of the role, individual competencies, education/professional certifications, qualifications/experience, performance in the role, and potential for revenue generation (Producer roles only).
Compensation The base salary compensation range being offered for this role is $140,000.00 - $180,000.00 USD [per year].
This role is also eligible for an annual short-term incentive bonus.
