Healthcare Growth Equity Associate

Vaco has partnered with a premier private equity/growth equity firm to help them find an Associate to add to their team as they open another fund and continue to add investments to their portfolio. The ideal candidate will have two to four years of experience in investment banking, a top-level investment firm, or a management consulting firm. In this role the Associate will be exposed to a variety of tasks, projects, and hands on learning experiences within the commercial-stage healthcare sector including:

Involvement in a variety of different transaction structures

Interacting with the Boards of portfolio companies and monitoring the investments

Performing and leading due diligence projects

Closing on targeted investments

Interacting and providing data, projections, and opinions to the investment committee

Conducting business development and directly interacting with and supporting the board and senior management of portfolio companies

We are looking for someone with the following experience and skills :

Using quantitative and qualitative data points to make decisions and recommend fund investments.

Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external senior executives.

Able to handle multiple projects throughout each day and each week and cycle back and forth between them.

Excellent financial modeling skills

Strong writing skills and hands on experience with preparing proposals and recommendations

Ability to understand the drivers of target portfolio company performance.

Great background with valuations, corporate finance, and accounting
