Job Summary: The Heavy Equipment Service Manager will provide exceptional customer service throughout the entire equipment sales process to both internal and external customers.
They will also cultivate and develop the Service team, fostering high employee engagement and enabling them to perform at their best in a safe and efficient manner.
Additionally, they will ensure the Service Department operates smoothly and profitably as it expands.
Required Qualifications: Strong customer service skillsExcellent leadership skillsKnowledge and desire to grow the business Essential Duties and Responsibilities (Other duties may be assigned): Lead the Road Service and Shop technicians and help them advance in their goalsHandle customer service requests with a high sense of urgencyManage the workload in the service department in order to reach utilization goalPromoting, quoting, and selling of Preventative Maintenance programsCreate, approve, deliver, and close service quotesSupport Service Writer with scheduling practices and invoicingReview of all Warranty invoices prior to submittalPlan for seasonal fluctuations in the business by coordination of service marketing calendarCreate a service training schedule for each technician and track progressExecute on the New and Used Equipment management processComplete performance reviews for direct reports, to include developmental goalsApprove all daily timecards, vacation, etc.Engage OEMs for additional support to technicians in shop or field when appropriateEnsure all technicians are a positive reflection of the company and that their equipment is well-stocked and properly maintainedEnsure that all equipment, vehicles, and facilities consistently represent the company's standards through proper maintenance and upkeep.Assist with collections as neededSupport customers with technical information by leveraging inside and outside resources Key Performance Indicators (KPIs): Safety Meeting AttendanceService RevenueTechnician Recovery RateCustomer ConnectivityGross Profit Benefits: Starting salary is competitive and will be based on qualification and experience.
