Lynker is supporting the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) in providing comprehensive river and flood forecasts and warnings, for use by the public and emergency managers to protect life and property. This critical water intelligence also supports socio-economic decision-making for a sustained and enhanced economy. We are seeking an experienced Helpdesk Administrator to support the team that provides integrated water prediction, forecasting the movement and presence of water throughout the nation in terms of quantity and availability, from the summit to sea, treetop to bedrock, with the appropriate timeliness, resolution, reliability, accuracy, and quantified uncertainty required to inform risk-based water resource management decisions.
Duties of the Helpdesk Administrator will include the Following: Respond to IT trouble tickets for technical support, hardware requests, IT changes, and internal projects Maintain IT inventory of desktops, laptops, peripherals, and servers Conduct regular maintenance on IT equipment. Maintaining proper care for all office equipment. Printers, scanners, monitors, etc... Provide excellent customer service to coworkers and respond to inquiries within service level Manage internal IT ticketing system Develop training material for IT functions and provide technical assistance as requested. The Helpdesk Administrator selected should have the following: Experience with different ticketing systems: JIRA and ServiceNow Advanced troubleshooting experience. Working in person and remote Experience with Directory Services Excellent customer service and ability to communicate effectively. Detailed understanding Microsoft products Understanding of performance metric gathering tools. The Ideal Helpdesk Administrator will have the following: 2 to 4 years supporting high volume ticketing systems Degree in computer science or similar experience and/or certifications Analyze system requirements Experience with ticketing tools Experience supporting a critical infrastructure About Lynker Lynker is a growing, employee owned, small business, specializing in professional, scientific and technical services.
