Hgv / Lgv Mechanical Technician

Driver Hire Great Yarmouth & Lowestoft are currently recruiting a Skilled HGV / LGV Mechanical Technician for a new client of ours located in Lowestoft. This is a permanent position for the correct applicant. Previous experience in routine maintenance/ servicing / pre MOT checks and repairs on HGV vehicles is required.
IMMEDIATE START PAYE Rates: £16.00 – £20.00 an hour depending on experience and if have own tools.
Location: Lowestoft
The Role:You will be responsible for the company's fleet of tipper vehicles, maintaining and ensuring vehicles are safe & road worthy. Completing inspections, servicing, repairs and Pre MOT's. You will be diagnosing faults using schematics and technical manuals. Completing welding and repairs to the highest standard. Complying to all Health & Safety regulations related to vehicle maintenance.
The Requirements:Full HGV 2 / Class 2 / LGV Driving Licence.Proven mechanical background.Proficient in maintenance / inspection / pre MOT and repairing HGV vehicles.Diagnose faults using schematics and technical manuals to identify issues efficiently.Experience with electrical systems.Ability to use power tools & welding kits to repair vehicles.Maintain accurate records of work performed, including parts used and time spent on each job.Fabricate and solder components as necessary to ensure optimal performance of vehicles.Health & Safety requirements related to vehicle maintenance.Minimum PPE: Steel toecaps, Hi Vis, Hard hat.Apply today, or for more information on this HGV Mechanical Technician role please contact us on ******** or email ******** .
