North Hills Senior High School POSITION: North Hills High School Assistant Principal (Act 93 Position) Minimum Qualifications: PA Secondary Principal (7-12) or PA Principal (K-12) Certification. Master's Degree Minimum Qualifications: PA Secondary Principal (7-12) or PA Principal (K-12) Certification. Master's Degree Essential Skills: Proven ability to utilize data to improve academic achievement. Ability to build relationships with parents, teachers, and students. Ability to collaborate, communicate, maximize resources, and engage with students, teachers, and families. Ability to prioritize high academic standards, utilize technology, ensure a safe and respectful learning environment, personalize learning, and provide enhanced opportunities for all students. Clear understanding of state and federal education law. Essential Functions: Strategic and Cultural Leadership - Assists the high school principal in the systemic and collaborative development of a positive culture to promote student growth and staff development.
He/she contributes to the articulation and model of a clear vision of the school's culture that involves students, families, and staff. Systems Leadership - Assists the high school principal to ensure that there are processes and systems in place for budgeting, staffing, problem solving, communicating expectations and scheduling that result in organizing the work routines in the building.
Must manage efficiently, effectively and safely to foster student achievement. Leadership for Learning - Assists the high school principal to ensure a Standards Aligned System is in place to address the linkage of curriculum, instruction, assessment, data on student learning and teacher effectiveness based on research and best practices.
Professional and Community Leadership - High school assistant principal promotes the success of all students, the positive interactions among building stakeholders and the professional growth of staff by acting with integrity, fairness and in an ethical manner Salary and Benefits: $85,000/year and an excellent benefits package
