Applicants must be able to teach math and AP Computer Science. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree, valid Illinois High School teaching certificate. Must have the ability to travel to/from Resurrection College Prep High School. Accredited degree from a 4-year college or university in the field of Math. Teaching Certification and/or Master's Degree in Math is ideal. Ability to complete background check and Archdiocese of Chicago Virtus training. Experience: Three or more years of secondary school experience is preferred, with experience when necessary. A demonstrated understanding of content-area curricular trends and instructional best practices, as well as curriculum design and implementation in an Understanding by Design framework, strengthens application. Summary The math teacher is primarily responsible for providing student learning for assigned math courses. The teacher will implement curricula, design UbD maps, promote a positive learning environment, develop the program, and coordinate fall and spring student performances.
