Responsibilities
• Review medical records and abstract diagnoses codes for billing• Navigate coding systems, code books, and EMR efficiently• Adhere to coding rules and regulations• Perform coding quality audits• Maintain accurate procedures based on coding clinics and webinars• Provide queries to physicians for ambiguous documentation• Assemble and analyze medical records for completeness
Requirements
• Post High School Education with ICD-10: 1 year (Preferred)• CCA, CCS, CCS-P, CPC, RHIT, RHIA, or other coding specific credential (One required)• Work experience in Health Information Management preferred• Knowledgeable about Microsoft Office applications
