The HIM Manager/Coder is part of the hospital's leadership team, working closely with the CEO and Clinical Director.
At Lexington Regional Rehabilitation Hospital, we are a 36 inpatient hospital that provides intensive rehabilitation services to people recovering from disabling diseases or injuries, such as strokes, brain, spinal cord, and orthopedic injuries. Successful candidates will enjoy working both independently and collaborating with a team of clinical professionals.
Key responsibilities include: Provide expertise in the areas of coding and classification systems to healthcare providers throughout our hospital, and help drive improvements in reimbursement and the revenue cycle.Responsible for timely coding of charts in accordance with the current principles of ICD-10 and AHA coding guidelines.Support the Health Information Services Department through a variety of clerical, technical, and related support services.Perform other daily duties within the Health Information Management Services department as assigned.Supervise and evaluate the performance of HIM department personnel.Requirements: Minimum of 2 years of inpatient or outpatient coding experience preferred.Strong knowledge of ICD-10 coding guidelines.CPC, CCS, CIC, RHIT, or RHIA certification via AHIMA or AAPC.Why should you apply?
