The Histology Technician embeds tissue, cuts, stains and coverslips slides of a quality acceptable to the pathologists.
Performs special stains.
Performs immunohistochemical techniques.
Accessions specimens, troubleshoots and maintains histology equipment.


QUALIFICATIONS

Associate degree in clinical laboratory technology or equivalent; 1 year experience highly preferred; Licensure Required: NYS Clinical Laboratory Technician and/or NYS Histology Technician
