This individual performs quantitative, qualitative, and subjective lab procedures by manual and automated methods for inpatient and outpatient specimens across all disciplines of the lab. The Histo Tech I accurately performs quality assurance, calibrations, and quality control processes. Embedding, microtome, tissue processing, and immunohistochemistry processes are all utilized in this profession.
