Preferred QualificationsPosition SummaryThis position directs all aspects of the technical assistance, quality assurance and training coordination for Great Start Georgia community outreach and home visiting programs serving families with young children throughout Georgia. The position requires strong organizational and communication skills to apply within a systems-oriented approach to developing state-level policy and guidance for home visiting.
This position works within a leadership team at the state-level to establish policies, procedures, and state-wide priorities for family engagement and home visiting across Georgia. The primary strategies for addressing this include:
Supervising a team of highly-motivated, independent TA/Training providers with expertise in the main home visiting models being implemented in Georgia (PAT, HFG, NFP).Supporting a high-quality home visiting infrastructure by facilitating professional development at each level in a cost-effective, sustainable way.Contributing to the national agenda related to home visiting via active involvement in meetings, work committees, and resources/webinars made available to states.Conducting an ongoing analysis of innovative home visiting service models and enhancements.Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or CompetenciesAbility to establish and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders across the state of Georgia.Demonstrated leadership and organizational skills.Extensive knowledge of home visiting programs and other early childhood education and family support programs.Knowledge of data entry and the link between data reports and program management.Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint.Physical DemandsTravel – Driving for up to 4 hoursDuties/ResponsibilitiesSupervise and coordinate the efforts of the MIECHV-funded TA and Training Leads and consulting partners.Steer annual initiative to establish priorities for home visiting and develop a strategic plan.Support the work of the Great Start Georgia Leadership and Management Teams.Strengthen the capacity of the home visiting workforce in Georgia.Develop proposals and reports to fulfill all contractual obligations.Contact InformationFor questions concerning this position or recruitment progression, please refer to the Recruitment Contact listed below.
