Homes.com is seeking a Technical Manager of Mobile Engineering to join our team in Irvine, CA. You will support multiple software products and brands across the organization, such as www.homes.com and www.homesnap.com. This position offers 3 days onsite and 2 days remote.
Responsibilities Act as a player coach with 6+ years of industry experience managing multiple project development teams. Coordinate the activities and deliverables across multiple teams while resolving issues and ensuring appropriate priorities. Mentor and manage Technical Managers in the normal execution of their responsibilities. Interact regularly with technology and business executives. Translate business requirements into technical requirements, develop project plans, and work schedules for scrum development teams. Successfully implement software development projects to specification and within scheduled timelines and budget parameters. Ensure proper software development practices are followed and provide guidance when necessary. Provide status reports and feedback to Business Management. Act as release manager to ensure product components are released for production deployment as tested. Drive continuous improvement within the Scrum team by focusing on engineering excellence. Work with recruiting to identify, hire, and onboard top industry talent. Coach, motivate, train, and retain key contributors. Continually evaluate emerging technologies to identify opportunities, trends, and best practices. Act as "Voice of the Customer" during product readiness reviews. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree required from an accredited university. 6+ years of experience with mobile iOS and/or Android application development. 4+ years in managing/leading a development team, including managing managers. Experience with mission-critical, high-volume mobile apps and/or web-based systems. Proficient in Android and/or iOS development tools and languages (Objective C/Swift/Kotlin). Strong written and verbal communication skills. Excellent team building, negotiation, and consensus building abilities. Ability to motivate and build high-performance testing and software development teams. Preferred Qualifications and Skills High proficiency in testing methodology, Agile methodology, and QA Best Practices. Strong computer system analysis and design skills.
