Hospice Executive Director What You Must Have: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and knowledge in hospice or healthcare operations and sales managementAt least 3 years of progressive experience managing operations in healthcare, hospice preferredDemonstrated ability to supervise and direct management personnelUnderstanding of business processes and systems that support the healthcare industryExperience in changing organizational processes to implement standard methods and practicesMust have outstanding interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills along with a strong executive presencePossess good organization, people, and problem-solving skills and the ability to multi-task many projects and strategies simultaneouslyKnowledge of business management and a working knowledge of the Medicare Hospice Benefit preferredExperience with EMR/Customer Relationship software is a plus What You Will Do: Organize and direct Agency's ongoing functions, including operational and organizational planning, budgeting, and monitoring progress toward operational and strategic goalsEnsure interdisciplinary care is provided while ethical business and clinical practice are maintainedDirect staff in performance of duties including admission, discharge, transfer, revocation, and provision of services to patientsEnsure documentation of services provided is accurate and timelyEmploy qualified personnel and ensure adequate staff education and evaluation, including orientation, in-service, continuing education, competency testing, and performance improvement. Ensure maintenance of personnel recordsEnsure appropriate staff supervision during all service hours and ensure support services are available to staffEnsure accuracy of public information, materials, and activitiesMaintain knowledge of service systems in the community served by the agency and ensure services provided are approved by the hospiceEnsure Agency operates in compliance with federal and state lawTakes action on reports from regulatory or inspection agenciesResponsible for supervision and evaluation of family satisfaction surveysManage conflict and complaint resolutionImplement and monitor effective budgeting and accounting system that promotes the health and safety of the agency's patients and monitors business operations to ensure financial stabilityEnsure adequate space, equipment, and supplies are availableEnsure completion and maintenance of required reports to the governing body and maintain an ongoing liaison with the governing bodyParticipate in quality improvement activities including appropriate policies developed and implemented to accomplish identified outcomesEvaluate services and staff against measured outcomesEnsure actionable objectives are derived from the evaluation of these services and personnelEvaluate program, services, and personnelDirect preparation of annual report of operations and annual agency evaluationParticipate in all mandatory staff in-services and meetingsTimely submission of all documentationConduct all business activities in a professional and ethical mannerPerformance of other duties as requiredEnsure overall compliance with local, state, and federal laws, Medicare regulations, and established personnel policies and proceduresFull Time Employee Benefits At Heart'n Soul Hospice we offer the opportunity for you to join a caring company that believes in the importance of supporting our team members so that they are free to provide exceptional compassion and care to our patients.
