Your Role as an Associate Medical Director:
In this pivotal role, you'll lead the medical direction of our dedicated team, upholding the highest standards of clinical care and medical administrative excellence to maintain the integrity of our hospice programs.
Your contributions will include:
Ensuring appropriate evaluation and certification and recertification of terminal illnessesEnsuring the accuracy in documentation supporting hospice eligibilityEngaging actively in weekly interdisciplinary group meetings to ensure a holistic approach to care.Actively participating in new admissions for the agencyEnsuring excellent care coordination by liaising with attending physicians and supporting our interdisciplinary teams.Participating in care conferences with patients and interdisciplinary teamsSupporting education of team members and residents in rotation at HEBParticipating in inpatient care, including rotations at Bruns House and other hospital settings, alongside supporting night and weekend on-call duties as needed.Engage in community-based outpatient care.

We seek a compassionate and skilled professional with:
Fellowship training in Hospice and Palliative Care, or eligibility to become certified as a Hospice Medical Director within two years of employment.A valid medical license and DEA license to practice in California, alongside an impressive track record backed by favorable references.A collaborative spirit, ready to work alongside our hospice employees and volunteers to provide unmatched care across diverse settings.A commitment to continuous learning and professional development within our supportive team environment.
