Position Purpose: The position provides strategic leadership and oversight in the planning, coordination, and integration of services to optimize performance.
Key Job Activities: Provides leadership direction and oversight in the planning and integration of site and assigned system services to ensure the optimal performance of Sinai Health System (SHS).Assists site President, department heads/directors in directing work activities, establishing system control procedures, implementing hospital-wide policies / administrative directives, and managing leadership and staff performance.Reviews and ensures site-based operating, administrative, and personnel policies and procedures, and oversees implementation and compliance.Establishes and maintains effective communication within the site, system, and core functional areas to ensure alignment and performance standards are in place and hardwired.Works with community relations and other key system stakeholders to continually build and maintain strong and healthy relations with the community and key external stakeholders.Plans, directs, coordinates, and monitors site based (or system assigned) projects, key deliverables, construction to progress against accepted timetables.Establishes and maintains liaison with hospital President, and members of the medical staff to foster and maintain effective and productive working relationships.Manages contracts, vendor, and system-based services as appropriate and necessary.Assists system and site leadership in the development and implementation of SHS's strategic plan and operational programs.
Provides site and professional perspective on matters affecting the operations of SHS and Holy Cross Hospital (HCH).Ensures assigned functions are in compliance with applicable state and federal regulations and accrediting agency requirements; initiates corrective action as necessary.
Provides input to Federal and State legislators related to the development of policies and regulations that will favorably impact the overall welfare of SHS.Performs other duties as assigned. Education and Work Experience: Master's degree in business administration, health care administration, or related field.5+ years of experience in a leadership position.Previous experience working directly with C-Suite executives and physicians.A proven track record as a leader of a health care organization. Knowledge and Skills: Highly organized with strong project management skills and a proven background successfully leading teams.Exceptional communication skills, with experience giving presentations to all levels of a corporation.
Able to clearly articulate factual and advisory information to all levels of staff, executives, the boards of directors, and others, and garner related support.Strong customer service and drive to improve.Strong financial, analytical, and cost control skills.Leadership and management skills necessary to work effectively within a system, influence results, motivate individuals and teams, and resolve problems in a diplomatic professional manner.Computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office.Willingness to operate in a collaborative, shared leadership environment.Ability to sustain interruption in workflow and instantaneous changes in priorities to respond to crisis situations involving patients, plant, procedures, or inspections. Registry (per diem) Caregivers are caregivers who work less than 1,000 hours in a calendar year.
Registry caregivers are employees of Sinai Health System but are typically on an as needed basis.
These caregivers may be called upon to cover full-time or part-time caregivers during PTO events or sick leave as well as to provide supplemental coverage.
Registry Caregivers are not eligible for Sinai's benefit programs with the exception for Sick-C, PPO Medical Plan, Employee Assistance Program (EAP) and non-match eligible contribution to the Sinai Health System Consolidated 403(b) retirement savings plan.
