Position Highlights: Block Schedule: 7 on / 7 offSchedule: Night shifts - 7:00 PM – 7:00 AMED consults; patient care in a manner consistent with hospital medical staff by-laws and referring physician requestsCommunicates with families, referring physicians, specialists, administration, and hospital departments in the care and treatment of patients referred to the serviceWork with hospitals and clinical staff, social services, utilization management, and other members of the interdisciplinary teamsCollaborates with interdisciplinary team to discuss patients' progress, variances, and achievement of expected outcomes and plan of careAssumes responsibility to ensure that all necessary documentation is accurate, complete, and timely including medical records, billing/coding, and any other documentation as requested by the hospital from time to timeYou'll be rewarded and recognized for your performance in an environment that will challenge you and give you clear direction on what it takes to succeed in your role as well as provide development for other roles you may be interested in.
Required Qualifications: Unrestricted California State Medical LicenseCurrent California DEA certificateBE/BC Internal MedicineMinimum 1-3 years Hospitalist experience requiredEMR proficientSelf-starter with the ability to practice with a high degree of independenceStrong verbal and written communication skillsManaged Care and Medi-Cal experience desirableCalifornia Residents Only: The salary range for California residents is $288,631 to $385,254 though this is subject to change with collective bargaining. Salary Range is defined as total cash compensation at target. The actual range and pay mix of base and bonus is variable based upon experience and metric achievement.
