JOB SUMMARYThe Host position is responsible for providing organizational and operational support to the management staff for the efficient operations of the Restaurant. These duties include (1) overseeing Open Table reservations, (2) seating the dining room in an efficient manner, (3) training new employees hired as hosts, (4) answering all incoming phone calls and checking voicemails, (5) handling inquiries for private events, and (6) keeping the host and bathroom areas clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times.ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIESMaintain a positive, high, well-balanced energy level throughout the entire shiftHave strong interpersonal communication skills in order to greet guests, answer guest questions and address guest concerns in a warm, professional, and accommodating mannerExhibit consistently dependable, reliable, punctual, and trustworthy conductProvide exemplary guest service on a consistent basisDaily review of Open Table reservations, special events and private parties and create a game plan for the dayPolitely welcome guests by greeting them and ensure they are seated in a timely mannerMaintain host and bathroom areas by keeping them clean, organized, and well-stocked at all timesRespond to all inquiries about private partiesAssist the management team with guest relations for day-to-day operationsSPECIFIC JOB KNOWLEDGE, SKILL, AND ABILITYKnowledge of Teamwork and Toast POS systemAbility to read, write and speak the English language to interact with guests, the public, and coworkersProficient verbal communication skillsAbility to work under pressure and professionally deal with stressful situations during busy periods in a loud, busy, and crowded environmentStrong interpersonal skills to provide overall guest satisfactionSuperior attention to detailExcellent organizational skillsExperience with Open TableAbility to multitaskAbility to interact professionally at all times with guests, management team and coworkerQUALIFICATION STANDARDSEducation* High School Diploma or GED equivalent optionalExperienceMinimum of one years' experience in a fast-paced restaurant/bar preferredMust be at least 18 years oldLicenses or CertificatesFood Handlers Card preferredABC Service Certification preferredCPR certification and/or First Aid training preferredGROOMINGAll employees must wear the proper uniform and maintain a neat, clean and well-groomed appearance in accordance with the Company's grooming standards.
